1. Sr. Software Engineer, Micro-transaction Platform
Sr. Software Engineer, Micro-transaction Platform
Silicon Valley based PlaySpan is the fastest growing digital goods commerce company with industry leading digital goods marketplace, micro-transaction platform, and micro-payment solutions used by 90% of Top Tier game-publishers. PlaySpan's Ultimate Game Card is the only pre-paid card supporting over 1000 games and available at Walmart, 7-Eleven, Rite-Aid and other retail chains across the North America.
PlaySpan is looking for Sr. Software Engineers to develop its next generation product lines and to support the customers. The candidate will enjoy the unique opportunity to join the company's core platform engineering team to design and implement the very exciting core services for virtual goods marketplace and micro-transaction platforms, and to directly support and interact with the interesting customers as well.
Your responsibility:
- Design, implement, test and support core functional modules of PlaySpan's marketplace and micro-transaction platform
- Implement Web 2.0 style applications that interfaces with the backend infrastructure
- Provide professional support to customers, including the technical communication/interaction, application customization, and service monitoring etc.
- Implement/debug third party integration services and support modules
Your Qualification:
- BS/MSCS or equivalent with at least 5-8 years of commercial Java software development on Unix/Linux environment
- Demonstrable in-depth experience in core J2EE technologies and Database technologies like mysql/Oracle
- Strong experience with agile software practices with special emphasis on unit/regression testing methodologies
- Strong passion in developing/programming and debugging commercial grade software
- Experience with Java MVC frameworks that support rich application user experiences (Spring/Struts/JSF or Similar)
- Strong communication and written skills, ability to communicate your ideas with others
- Experience in developing AJAX-based web apps is a big plus
- Experience in implementing consumer facing e-commerce system is big plus

Your Qualification:

Your responsibility:
PlaySpan is currently seeking front end developers/designer with experience building dynamic content driven web applications leveraging CMS infrastructure. In this role you will be working with remote development team and coming up with innovative UI design and be able to convert mock up from UI designers into dynamic web pages. Candidate must be good communication skill and have previous working experience in the US.
Your Qualification:
- 3+ years of building rich web applications (consumer facing websites/social networks/Community sites)
- 3+ years of CSS/AJAX/JavaScript development
- 3+ years of PHP experience
- Experience in CMS systems a plus (Drupal/Zend/Joomla)

- Lead/Manage a highly talented set of engineers
- Provide technical leadership and motivation to the development team
- Function as the key technical participant in designing and spec'ing out features and products (working with Product Managers, User Experience designers, and Executives)
- Lead infrastructure, scalability, maintainability, and security related projects
- Design and develop systems and frameworks to allow rapid development of robust software
- Design and build extremely scalable and reliable consumer internet products and services
- Responsible for the overall technical design and architecture of all parts of the system

5. Senior Product Manager
Senior Product Manager
PlaySpan is looking for a Senior Product Manager that can help drive the creation of powerful new features on the PlaySpan Monetization platform.
Your responsibility:
This position will be responsible for managing the product roadmap, writing specs, and working with the engineering team to create great products. Additionally you'll work closely with large games and digital goods companies to understand market needs and opportunities. PlaySpan's customers include powerful and demanding brands such as Adobe, EA, Disney, Sony, and MTV.
Your Qualification:
- 5-10 years of experience in product management in consumer web or game development
- You must be able to invent, spot new market opportunities and be reactive to the market
- Must be able to graphically create wire-frames and give interface direction to UI team
- Experience with A/B testing
- Passion for simple and powerful user experiences
- Passion for writing product specifications, White papers
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills & attention to detail
- Demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding strategy
- Strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in the market
- We are looking for an enthusiastic, performance-driven self-starter and team player
- Previous start-up experience is a huge plus

6. Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Engineer
Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Engineer
PlaySpan is looking for a strong Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse engineer with a passion for building data warehouses to make a positive impact on business performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building a data warehouse and business intelligence solution from the ground up.
Your responsibility:
- Assist in the data warehouse requirement gathering process; interact with business and product managers to prioritize the analysis and reporting requirements
- Design dimensional data models that are optimized for performance and ease of report creation
- Implement reliable ETL processes
- Design and implement reports and dashboards
- Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with the rest of the team (including explaining technical concepts to non-technical users)
Your Qualification:
- BS/BA with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature, preferably engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or economics.
- 3+ years experience writing SQL queries and stored procedures
- 1+ years of experience in a reporting or data warehouse environment.
- Superior quantitative and analytical problem solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex business and technical topics to a wide array of business, technical, and executive audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop cohesive working relationships.
